Kodak EasyShare One 6MP Review At CNET

CNET has reviewed the 6 megapixel Kodak EasyShare One and rate it 4.8 out 10. Ouch!

“Furthermore, severe chromatic aberration–the colored fringing that appears on dark objects against bright backgrounds–pervades the photos, and oversharpening on edges tends to exacerbate its visibility. Purple-and-pink halos appeared on almost every contrasting edge in our test photos. Portraits taken on the EasyShare One/6MP will be colorful and clear, but the fringing and smearing will make the subject appear ethereal.”

Kodak EasyShare C663 Review at Cameras.co.uk

Cameras.co.uk has reviewed the 6 megapixel Kodak EasyShare C663 and here is the verdict –

“The Kodak Easyshare C663 has a number of good points. These include ease of use and build quality. I am not sure if I expect too much of cameras like this but in terms of photo quality the results I achieved were mixed. It offers fair value for money, but in my view there are better options available.”

Kodak EasyShare V610 Review At DC Resource

DC Resource has a new review for the 6.1 megapixel Kodak EasyShare V610 dual lens camera and they write –

“There are a few other negatives that are worth mentioning. A big one is the lack of image stabilization: it’s awfully hard to get a sharp photo on an ultra zoom camera without it. Sure, you can turn up the ISO sensitivity to compensate for that, but that increases the noise significantly. While the V610’s flash is comparable to other ultra compact cameras, it’s not comparable to what a “regular” ultra zoom offers. And finally, I wish the camera had a few manual controls — give me white balance at least.”

Sony Enters Digital SLR Market with Alpha Branding
It’s about time Sony enters the digital SLR (DSLR) realm. Following Sony’s recent buy-out of Konica-Minolta, the electronics giant has given the branding name of ‘Alpha’ (signified by the ‘alpha’ sign pictured on the right) to its DSLR line of cameras. This is perhaps a gesture to provide a sense of continuation from Konica-Minolta’s existing [...]

Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 Digital Camera Review
Despite the calls that declare the megapixel war over, Casio decides to thumb their nose at the rest of the industry by rolling out the Casio Exilim EX-Z1000. The Z1000 captures images at 10.1 megapixels with a 3x optical zoom, and a 2.8 inch, wide LCD. The stylish, pocketable camera is easy to use and provides good image quality, especially outdoors.

    Cardboard SLR Camera
Why spend hundreds, when you could make a SLR camera out of cardboards? Oh, because the wind might blow your camera away. But that’s not going to stop a certain anonymous shutterbug from spending hours building his/her very own cardboard SLR camera. Of course, the camera does not come with any fancy technology, and it uses a [...]
